Les Journées Particulières

If you can be in France on October 15 and 16, 2011 you’ll have the chance to participate in Les Journées Particulières (lay joornay par-tea-coo-lee-air) sponsored by LVMH, the luxury goods conglomerate. This phrase translates as “special,” “unusual,” or “private” days, and this weekend promised to be all of those at once. LVMH will open their doors at 25 of their properties. Not only will visitors get behind-the-scenes access, but there will be tours, interactive workshops, and private showings. Where will you go? Christian Dior’s atelier on Avenue Montaigne? Chaumet haute joaillerie in the place Vendôme ? The cellars of Moët & Chandon at Epernay or Veuve Clicquot at Reims? Maybe I can organize a class field trip so I can go too!

Hi, I’m trying to get more information about this event. Is this open to public or do I need to purchase tickets? I would love to get more info on this, but their site is all in French.

The tickets are free and first-come-first-served. You can get them on-line in advance to skip the lines, or try your chances at the site. Bonne chance!
