Résilier

imageToday’s word is résilier (ray-zill-ee-ay), which means to cancel, finish, or put an end to. It’s the time of year when we often think about resolutions for the new year. What should I put an end to in order to have a happier, healthier 2015? Not eating dark chocolate, that’s for sure. Not indulging in yummy French pastries, either. Should I put an end to my love affair with shoes? Don’t be absurd. Frankly, my life is so richly blessed that I wouldn’t change a thing. Except perhaps switching my address to one in Paris!
